Crystal Mountain is located just 4 miles from the Betsie River Lodge. Crystal Mountain offers skiing, golfing, shopping, restaurants, and a spa/fitness center.
The Lodge is surrounded by ORV and nature trails. You can use the well groomed trails for hiking, snowmobiling, biking, ATV rides or simply a quiet stroll through the woods. A favorite among the Michigan beachtowns, Frankfort is a must-see while you're in town. Frankfort is a scenic 20 mile cruise from the Betsie River Lodge.
Arcadia Bluffs Sunset Grill Bar was recently named as one of The Best 19th Holes in Golf by Sports Illustrated Golf Edition. Arcadia Bluffs is about a 40 minute drive from the Lodge.
Home of Michigan's annual Cherry Festival, Traverse City is a well known tourist destination thanks to its exceptional food, wine and culture. Traverse City's year-round events have something for everyone. Traverse City is approximately a 45 minute drive from the Betsie River Lodge.
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore was named the "Most Beautiful Place in America" in 2011 on ABC's Good Morning America. The dunes are located about an hour from the lodge, but there is plenty to see and do - it's well worth it to take a day trip!
The Interlochen Center for the Arts is a 1,200 acre arts education institution about 15 miles from the Lodge. Interlochen hosts hundreds of concerts and events throughout the year.
